Christopher Shiflet, J.D.
Specialist, Interhack Corporation
Christopher Shiflet joined Interhack Corporation in 2008
as a Specialist in the firm's Forensic Computing
Practice. Using a background that includes both computer
science and law, he helps technologists to understand
requirements of the law and lawyers to understand the
benefits and limits of technology.
Shiflet graduated with honors from the William &
Mary School of Law with a Juris Doctor in May, 2007, and
joined Interhack as a Specialist a few days after being
sworn in as an attorney by the Supreme Court of Ohio.
While at William & Mary he served as a research fellow
in the Center for Legal and Court Technology. As a law
student he acquired legal experience writing patent
applications and responding to legal issues regarding
computer networks, semiconductors, video games, and
computer software.
Before law school, Chris earned a Master of Science in
computer science from University of California, Santa
Barbara, from which he graduated with honors. His graduate
thesis is entitled Address Aggregation in Mobile Ad Hoc
Networks. Before that, Chris earned a Bachelor of Science
in computer science, graduating summa cum laude from
Arizona State University, as the only computer science
major in his graduating class to submit a bachelor's
thesis. His topic was Analysis of Mobility Models in
Mobile Ad Hoc Networks. Chris' work experience in
technology has included consultancies and internships with
Verge Networks, The Boeing Company, Object Technology,
Inc. (a subsidiary of IBM), and Online Computer Library
Center, Inc.
