Lynn David Newton
Senior Analyst, Interhack Corporation
Lynn David Newton joined Interhack in November 2007 as
the firm's technical editor. In addition to editing
client-facing documentation, he develops and maintains
standards for technical documentation.
Before joining Interhack, Newton developed and
maintained the convention management system at Gen Con
in Seattle. Previously, he developed Linux kernel test
software for embedded telecommunications hardware for
Montavista Software in Tempe, Arizona, and served as the
lead developer of the RegPro product at Registration
Resources in West Linn, Oregon. As a software engineer
at Motorola, Newton created Test Case Matrix, an
application to standardize test planning, tracking and
reporting. He also created Automated Controller for Test
Suites (ACTS), enabling the unattended running of tests
in hours, which previously took months by hand. His
career in technology began with Four Phase Systems,
where he became a software engineer after working as an
editor of technical documentation.
Before his career in technology, Newton worked as a
professional musician. A classically trained composer,
he also plays a variety of instruments and founded
the rock band “Time,” which later
recorded under the name “Think Dog!”
Newton holds a degree from the University of
Illinois. He and his wife Suzy are relocating to
Columbus. Newton is an avid runner and has competed in
many ultramarathons and marathons.
