Interhack Announces Formation of Interhack Title
Management, Ltd.
Bringing a blend of its experience in information
technology management, regulatory compliance, and
application development to bear on the issues facing
real estate transaction management, Interhack
announces the formation of Interhack Title Management,
Ltd. and its Protégé service.
Protégé handles the entire Internet presence for title
agencies. With a simple pay-as-you-go fee schedule,
Protégé provides title agencies a complete content
management system that allows them to update their own
sites without needing to contact technical staff and
without needing to know how to use the Web's language
for page definition. More importantly, sites managed
by Protégé also include an industry-specific
application that allows lenders, mortgage brokers, and
other clients to place orders and to track them as
they are being processed. Employees spend less time
on the phone and tracking down paper, increasing
operational efficiency and reducing the agency's
internal costs.
Unlike most title management systems, Protégé follows
the deal through to where it counts: the closing.
Once orders are ready for closing, either the client
or a title agency representative can schedule a
closing. A simple management interface allows
employees to confirm the scheduled time and location.
Email confirmation follows, preventing the frustration
of closings foiled by miscommunication. Closers can
even mark the deal as closed right from the closing
location with a Web-enabled mobile phone.
Hugh Cathey Joins as Interim President
Interhack is also pleased to announce that experienced
tech executive Hugh Cathey has joined Interhack Title
Management, Ltd. as interim president. He has over
twenty years of senior leadership experience in
managing corporations while guiding very rapid revenue
growth.
Previously, Mr. Cathey served as President of Qwest
Communications International broadband division. From
start-up in January of 2000, this division grew to
$219 million in revenue in calendar 2001. With over
800 employees and an annual budget of over $300
million dollars, it was one of the fastest growing
divisions of Qwest Communications.
Prior to Qwest, Mr. Cathey served as President of
NextLink Midwest, which is the second largest
independent telecom provider in the United
States. This organization later became known as XO
Communication and has current revenues of $1.5 billion
with over 5,500 employees. Prior to NextLink, he
served as president and CEO of several start-up, early
stage and mature technology companies.
